Established in 1983, Geejay Chemicals Ltd is a family-owned business that has been at the forefront of desiccant supply in the United Kingdom for over four decades.
In 2007, we moved to a purpose-built manufacturing facility at 1 Beamish Close, Sandy, Bedfordshire, which represents our commitment to modern production capabilities whilst preserving our artisanal approach to customer service.
Manufacturing Excellence
Our factory houses four modern sachet-making machines capable of producing sachets ranging from ½ gram to 1 kg, whilst larger bags up to 10 kg are manufactured using industrial sewing machines. This diverse production capability ensures we can meet the precise requirements of businesses across numerous industries, from pharmaceutical and electronics to automotive and aerospace.
Silica gel sachets account for the majority of our output, encompassing both non-indicating (white) and self-indicating variations. Beyond our core silica gel products, we also manufacture molecular sieve sachets (grades 3A, 4A, and 13X) and desiccant clay sachets.

We hold ISO 9001:2015 certification, demonstrating our commitment to consistent quality management systems and continuous improvement. Our quality journey began in 1991 when, with just three employees, we developed a comprehensive quality system that was audited, approved, and registered by the British Standards Institute.
We are also registered to REACH, ensuring full compliance with European chemical regulations for the safe manufacture, import and use of chemical substances. This registration demonstrates our commitment to environmental responsibility and regulatory compliance, providing our customers with complete confidence in our products’ safety and legality.
Our Product Portfolio
Silica Gel Sachets
Available in sizes from ½ gram to 2½ kilograms, manufactured using premium materials including Tyvek™, laminate, cotton, and paper. We offer both non-indicating and self-indicating varieties, with heat-sealed and sewn construction options
Bulk Silica Gel
Supplied in various grades and physical forms (beaded and granular), available in pack sizes from 500 grams to 150 kilograms. Options include non-indicating white silica gel and self-indicating varieties with colour-change properties
Molecular Sieve Desiccants
High-performance desiccants available in grades 3A, 4A, 5A, and 13X, supplied both in bulk and sachet form for specialised moisture control applications.
Specialised Products
Including FDA-grade sachets for pharmaceutical applications, Def Stan 81-68/4 and MIL-D-3464E military specification bags, desiccant poles for shipping containers, humidity indicator cards, and activated carbon products.
